Meet Bailey
Thank you for taking a look at my online portfolio of online and digital works! In case you missed it, my name is Bailey Anderson, and I am based in Edmonton, Alberta. I have been drawing with computers since my family go our first one in 1996, and purchased my first drawing tablet in 1999. At some point between those two dates is when I made my first web page (an Animorphs fan page), and I have been teaching myself constantly since then. I have a personal aesthetic preference for clean lines and geometric shapes, but am happy to work within guidelines or collaboratively with another to explore a variety of styles and visual philosophies.

I have worked in the past with as little as just a text editor and my own imagination and as much as a pre-existing framework or content management system that I must integrate my vision into. I primarily will work directly with the source code rather than "What You See is What You Get" visual editing, as I find that software intended to facilitate the creation of web pages often results in bloated, poorly organized source code. As such, I strive to keep a level of parsimony and readability in my work so that any others who access it in the future will be able to understand my steps if they need to make changes. I also strongly believe in keeping the lines of communication between myself and my clients open, and receive feedback and suggestions with an equally open mind. I use a combination of PHP, Javascript, CSS, and of course old-fashioned HTML to write my pages, and Photoshop CS3 to draw in and create my graphics.

When I am not working on creative projects some of my hobbies include going to the movies, playing video games, bike riding, and playing with my miniature schnauzer, Sophie. I'm also an avid fan of CSI, Mythbusters, and The Daily Show, and am willing to watch just about any show that includes smart humour and/or crime drama.
